 ARGINGTON

Argington uses 99% wood products in it's kids furniture, with virtually no mdf, particle board, flake board or other similar engineered wood products.  The wood comes from managed renewable forrests established specifically to provide long-term responsible solutions towards the growing demand of timber related products FSC certified.  Finishes are non-toxic and can withstand the test of time.  Aside from solid wood components, the birch plywood used in products are made with low emissions glues which nearly eliminate long term emissions and off gassing.  They have coordinated efforts with energy efficient production facilities to develop manufacturing processes that help maximize yield and minimize waste of raw material.

KALON STUDIOS

At Kalon Studios, we make every effort to be as green and sustainable as can be. In our efforts to find sustainable solutions to manufacturing, we’ve engaged the newest and sometimes the oldest methods and materials.

We’ve used raw materials that are renewable, biodegradable, non-toxic and food safe. We’ve finished our woods with an oil we developed that is so green, so-non toxic that it’s practically food grade.

We’ve made use of the industries most local to us in our manufacturing.

For us, sustainability is defined as having multiple intentions all of which center on the idea of balance, of giving as much as we take, be it through economics, the environment or on the everyday human level.

Finishes- people friendly, non toxic and food safe.

KIDS OUTDOOR FURNITURE

loll kids outdoor furniture is made with superior grade recycled high density polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE is a high density polyethylene, a plastic resin used in products and packaging such as milk jugs, detergent bottles, margarine tubs, and garbage containers. Post consumer HDPE is a material or finished product that has served its intended use and has been diverted or recovered from waste destined for disposal, having completed its life as a consumer item.  The company estimates that eight recycled milk jugs are used for every pound of weight used.  At the end of its life the kids furniture can be recycled again.

By purchasing raw materials from the USA and Canada for manufacturing their products in the USA, loll reduces shipping distances both to their facility and out to customers.  Made in their factory in Duluth, MN.

 NURSERYWORKS

Nurserywork paint is ultra-safe. One example of the above is our non-toxic paint standards here at MDB. We exceed JPMA regulations and go through annual paint tests. The results: To call paint “safe” means it has toxic materials under 300ppm, for a company to claim “low toxicity” means they have paint with toxicity below 90ppm - here at MDB, our paint levels come in at less than 2ppm.

Even their teething rail is safe. Our teething rail has also been tested and is phthalates safe.
