What is drop-shipping?
Clever Tomato is an online drop-ship company. Items that are drop-shipped are sent directly to you from the manufacturer or distributor. This allows us to provide free shipping, and in most cases, minimizes the risk of damage to the items.
Clever Tomato provides free shipping on everything everyday! Free shipping does not cover any return shipping fees. Customers are responsible for return fees. Free shipping applies to Standard Delivery only (UPS ground, FedEx ground, USPS, Freight). Standard Delivery may require assistance with unloading oversized products.
ducduc shipping- Deliveries in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State area are typically serviced by a ducduc delivery truck and personnel. Outside the Tri-State area, carriers that are specialized in transporting and delivering furniture will be used. Depending on your area of the country, these specialized carriers may take up to 2 weeks to deliver your furniture. White glove delivery is required for all ducduc products.
If your order requires signaure at delivery, we will forward your tracking # and scheduled delivery date once your order has shipped. We ask that you are present during your scheduled delivery. An unsuccessful delivery may be assessed additional delivery and storage fees.
Currently, international shipping is not available.
Ordering Multiple Items
If ordering multiple items, know that items may arrive at different times. Some items are made to order and will ship out at a later time than other items. Refer to the bottom of each product page for delivery information.
Delivery Method and Lead Time
Most items will be delivered UPS Ground or FedEx Ground wherever possible. Some larger items ship via freight. Most items ship within 1-4 weeks. "Made to Order" or large furniture items may have a longer lead time. Please refer to each product page for delivery/shipping information.
Damaged Or Defective Items
Before you sign for the delivery, it is important to inspect the packaging for any potential damage that may have occurred while in transit. It is normal for the packaging to show some wear. However, if damage is visible to the product during delivery, reject shipment, be sure the driver notes the damage and contact Clever Tomato as soon as possible. If the damage is not recognized until after delivery or is a manufacturer's defect, please immediately take a digital picture of the item and shipping box and contact us within (5) days of receiving your order. Contact us at email@example.com and we will reply with further instructions. All damaged and defective claims require digital image prior to return authorization or exchange.
Also, please retain all packaging until you have fully inspected your furniture. We require that any returns be complete and in like new condition with all original packaging. Items returned incomplete may be assessed a restocking fee.
We will need your order number for processing purposes. Your order number is located at the top/left of your order form.
Change Your Mind?
If you would like to return your order, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org within (5) days of receiving your order for return instructions. Returns must be post-marked within (7) days from the day you receive your order. Please make sure that the item(s) remains in its original condition and packaging. Returns with the original packaging will be refunded in the original tender less shipping fees. Customers are responsible for return fees. Items returned incomplete may be assessed a restocking fee.
A request for a return must be provided via email at email@example.com. Customers will need to provide an order number, so we may process your return. Your order number is located at the top/left of your order form. Following a return request along with order number, we will forward return instructions. We will be unable to accept a return if your request does not comply to our "change your mind" return policy.
Special Order Items
Some items on the site are marked as "Made to Order". These items are custom made and are non-returnable. Once you place your order, cancellations will not be allowed. All cheme designs, ducduc, kalon studios, little nest, loll, mod mom, numsi, pete oyler, pop & lolli and wallcandy arts (wallpaper only) products are "Made to Order" and are non-returnable. Once you place an order for a "made to order" item we will forward your estimated completion date. Please note, completion dates are estimates and not a contract and should not be treated as such. Many factors can contribute to production and shipping delays from the manufacturer. We will contact you once we become aware of any delays in production. If an item you ordered
is a "made to order" item, you may ensure you are in line to receive your
item(s) as soon as production is complete.
If you would like to cancel an order, please email as soon as possible to firstname.lastname@example.org. If your order was not processed we will gladly cancel your order. If the order has already processed we will not be able to cancel your order and you will be responsible for items ordered.
Inventory levels fluctuate daily. An item indicating in stock status when an order is placed may shift to back order status once an order has fully processed. If this occurs, we will notify you of the back in stock date. Back in stock dates are only estimates and not a contract (please view "backorders" policy below). As soon as available and shipment takes place we will forward your
tracking information. We do our best to maintain inventory levels, providing the most current information from our manufacturers.
Each manufacturer estimates backorders will be in stock by the dates listed on a given product page. However, backorder dates are estimates and depict the most current information from the manufacturer. In stock dates can change due to production, shipping etc. We cannot guarantee any back in stock dates. If an item you ordered is on back order status you may ensure you are in line to receive your item(s) as soon as it is back in stock.
Please note: When an order is placed with Clever Tomato, the billing takes place within 24-48 hours for the entire amount of the order, including any backorder items.
We have made every effort to display the colors of products that appear on our site as accurately as possible. However, because the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.
Residents of Virginia will be charged the 5% sales tax.
